A ship is sailing on the restless sea
The flag is red, but you can’t see
(that) the one-man crew is trying real hard
doing its best not to fall apart
The night is dark and the waves are high
Rainy clouds are in the sky
The captain stands behind the wheel
Knowing nothing ‘cause he can’t feel (that)

The ship is slowly sinking
Water’s leaking everywhere
The captain keeps on thinking
Where’s the wind that blows the air

Lady luck may be on his side
The beacon is his only guide
The rails are torn but he can row
Just hold on you never know
A sailer’s life is one big fight
Against the power of the tide
Whilst their own dexterity

Some ships seem to be real dry
But once at sea, they mostly die
A sailer used to a leaky boat
Knows the tricks to stay afloat

the cruel sea is way too though
